C-Chain only (Avalanche's EVM chain, where tokens and applications run; the P-Chain and X-Chain are not counted). Transactions and gas used: summed per UTC day over every block that day, read from PublicNode's public Avalanche C-Chain endpoint, which holds blocks back about 80 days; daily history starts with the oldest day it held when collection began; latest complete day Oct 7, 2026, 300.49K transactions. A day is stored only when every one of its blocks was read. Fees burned: every C-Chain fee, tips included, is burned to the address 0x0100...0000, so fees per day are that address's balance after the day's last block less its balance after the previous day's; the balance at a past block can only be read for about two minutes, so this series starts when collection began and a day missed at midnight stays empty. Block time and transactions per second: the time between the first and last of the latest 20 blocks (20 blocks over 16 seconds); base fee: the latest of those blocks. Stablecoins issued: totalSupply() of the USDC (Circle) and USDt (Tether) contracts on the C-Chain, each contract as published by its issuer, every 30 minutes. Active addresses and decentralized finance figures are not shown yet.

AVAX is Avalanche's native token. It pays fees on the C-Chain, where every fee is burned, and is staked on the P-Chain to validate the primary network or delegated to a validator. New AVAX is created only as staking rewards, and the total can never exceed the cap of 720 million set when the network launched.

P-Chain current supply: platform.getCurrentSupply on the P-Chain (P-Chain height 25,640,105), which Avalanche's API reference calls an upper bound on the number of AVAX that exist because it does not account for burned tokens, including transaction fees; it is not circulating supply. Circulating supply: as published by CoinGecko, since Avalanche publishes no circulating figure of its own. AVAX staked: platform.getTotalStake for the primary network, the AVAX locked by validators and their delegators. Both from PublicNode's public Avalanche P-Chain endpoint, every 15 minutes. AVAX burned on the C-Chain: the balance of the C-Chain burn address (0x0100...0000), every 15 minutes; fees burned on the X-Chain and P-Chain are not in it. Supply cap: SupplyCap in the mainnet genesis of avalanchego, Avalanche's node software (720 million AVAX).

Avalanche's primary network is secured by validators that stake AVAX on the P-Chain, and AVAX holders can delegate to them. Protocol changes are proposed in public as Avalanche Community Proposals (ACPs), shipped in releases of avalanchego, Avalanche's node software, and take effect when validators run the new version. There is no on-chain token vote on proposals.

Validators, security threshold and AVAX delegated: platform.getCurrentValidators for the primary network on the P-Chain, from PublicNode's public Avalanche P-Chain endpoint, every 30 minutes. Security threshold: the fewest validators, largest own stake first, whose own stake together exceeds one third of all validators' own stake, computed by Genfinity; it counts nodes, and an operator running several nodes is not grouped, so the number of operators can be smaller. Own stake is the AVAX a validator staked itself; delegated is the AVAX delegated to it. Proposals: the ten newest of 36 proposals in the Avalanche Foundation's proposals repository (avalanche-foundation/ACPs) (opens in a new tab), with the status each proposal's own document states, which can lag its activation (ACPs activated by the Helicon upgrade on September 22, 2026 still read Proposed on October 2, 2026; the avalanchego release notes name the ACPs each upgrade activates); the documents carry no dates, so the date shown is the proposal document's latest change on GitHub. Every six hours. avalanchego releases: the most recent general releases published on GitHub (ava-labs/avalanchego), highest version first, each dated by GitHub's published date and linked to its release notes.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does this page cover?

Public data about Avalanche: the AVAX supply and how much is staked, activity and fees on the C-Chain, stablecoins issued on the C-Chain, the primary network's validators, Avalanche Community Proposals and avalanchego releases, and the ecosystem.

What are the C-Chain and the P-Chain?

Avalanche's primary network runs three chains. The C-Chain is its EVM chain, where tokens and applications run, and it is the chain the activity figures on this page count. The P-Chain records validators and staking. The X-Chain, for transfers of assets, is not covered yet.

Why is supply shown as P-Chain current supply rather than circulating supply?

No circulating supply figure is published from a source this page can use. The P-Chain's current supply is the network's own figure, but it does not subtract AVAX that has been burned, so Avalanche's documentation calls it an upper bound. It is shown under that name, next to the AVAX burned on the C-Chain.

How are fees counted?

Every fee paid on the C-Chain, tips included, is burned, so fees per day are the increase in the burn address's balance from the end of one UTC day to the end of the next. This is exact, but the balance at a past block can only be read for a few minutes, so the series starts when collection began.

What does the security threshold mean?

The fewest validators, largest stake first, whose own stake together is more than one third of all validators' own stake. It counts nodes: the P-Chain does not record who runs each node, so one operator with several nodes is counted several times, and validators are shown by node ID.

How often is the data updated?

Block figures refresh every minute while the page is open. Supply and stake refresh every 15 minutes; validators and stablecoins every 30 minutes; proposals and avalanchego releases every six hours. Daily statistics are added once each UTC day has closed. All dates and times are in UTC.

Where does the data come from?

From public sources: the Avalanche C-Chain and P-Chain through PublicNode's public endpoints (blocks, fees, supply, stake, validators, stablecoins), and GitHub (Avalanche Community Proposals and avalanchego releases). The notes under each section name the sources and define each figure.

What is free, and what is for subscribers?

Live figures, price charts and the last quarter (92 days) of chart history are free on every network page. Reports, the report archive, downloads and full chart history are for subscribers. Subscriptions open once our licensed data sources are in place; plans are on the pricing page.

How do I subscribe or unsubscribe?

Not Investment Advice
The information on this page is provided for general information only. It is not investment, legal, tax or accounting advice, and it is not an offer or solicitation to buy or sell any asset. Past performance is not indicative of future results. The value of digital assets can change quickly.
Data Sources & Limitations
Figures come from third-party and on-chain sources and are provided without warranty of accuracy or completeness. Sources can be delayed, interrupted or revised; when a source is unavailable, the last available value is shown. C-Chain and P-Chain figures are read from PublicNode's public Avalanche endpoints. Activity figures count the C-Chain only. Daily transaction and gas history starts with the oldest day PublicNode held when collection began (PublicNode holds about 80 days of blocks); fees burned per day start when collection began. P-Chain current supply is an upper bound that does not subtract burned AVAX and is not circulating supply. Validators are counted by node, not by operator. Stablecoin figures count only the contracts each issuer publishes. Figures reflect the sources at the time they were read and may be revised. Figures are unaudited. All times are UTC.
Forward-Looking Statements
Some content, such as scheduled upgrades, governance votes, events and third-party announcements, refers to future events. It reflects information available at the time of publication and may change; actual outcomes may differ. Genfinity makes no projections of its own, and any third-party forecast is attributed to its source.
