NEAR total supply: total_supply in the header of the latest final block, every five minutes. NEAR staked: the sum of the stakes of the current epoch's validators, every 30 minutes and recorded daily from Oct 1, 2026. Both from the FastNEAR free RPC, which NEAR's documentation lists.
NEAR Protocol is secured by validators chosen by stake each epoch: anyone can stake NEAR, directly or through a staking pool, and a validator's share of the work follows its stake. Protocol upgrades ship in releases of nearcore, the node software, and take effect once enough validators run them.

What is NEAR Protocol?
NEAR Protocol is a public proof-of-stake blockchain. Its native token, NEAR, pays transaction fees and storage and is staked to the validators that secure the network.
Why is there no daily transaction history yet?
Daily transactions, accounts and fees for NEAR are not collected yet. Until they are, the daily chart shows the snapshots recorded so far: validators and NEAR staked, from Oct 1, 2026.
How often is the data updated?
Block time, throughput, the gas price and total supply refresh every five minutes. Validators, stake and stablecoins refresh every 30 minutes; releases every six hours. All dates and times are in UTC.
Where does the data come from?
From the FastNEAR free RPC, which NEAR's documentation lists (blocks, total supply, the gas price, validators and stake, and the USDC and USDT token contracts), and GitHub (nearcore releases). The notes under each section name the sources and define each figure.
What is free, and what is for subscribers?
Live figures, price charts and the last quarter (92 days) of chart history are free on every network page. Reports, the report archive, downloads and full chart history are for subscribers. Subscriptions open once our licensed data sources are in place; plans are on the pricing page.
