What does this page cover?
Public data about the Canton Network: the Canton Coin market price, supply and market capitalization, activity on the Global Synchronizer, decentralized finance, real world assets and the ecosystem. Periodic reports compiled from that data are for subscribers.
How often is the data updated?
Market prices and network throughput update continuously while the page is open. Other figures refresh on a schedule, from every few minutes to hourly. Daily network statistics are added once each UTC day has closed. All dates and times are in UTC.
Where does the data come from?
From public sources: exchange market data, Canton Scan data published by the Global Synchronizer, public market and decentralized finance data aggregators, and figures published by issuers and institutions. Each report lists its sources in its Methodology & Sources section.
Why is some Canton activity not shown?
Canton is designed for privacy. Transaction details are visible only to the parties involved, and some activity runs on private synchronizers. Scan, the public data source for the network, sees only public Global Synchronizer data, so the activity figures on this page do not represent all activity on Canton.
How are reports produced and revised?
Monthly and quarterly reports are compiled from stored daily data, using the same set of metrics each period so periods can be compared. A report is published once its period has closed. If a source later revises its data, a new version of the report is published with a list of the figures that changed.
What is free, and what is for subscribers?
Live figures, price charts and the last quarter (92 days) of chart history are free on every network page. Reports, the report archive, downloads and full chart history are for subscribers. Subscriptions open once our licensed data sources are in place; plans are on the pricing page.
How do I subscribe or unsubscribe?
